I started with a simple idea of donating toy ducks to people with dementia to bring smiles and a little joy.
Next, I wanted to raise money to help donate to organizations that help with Alzheimer's research and support.
I never imagined that my idea would turn into a worldwide Non-profit Charity!
If you believe in something, you too can make a difference. -David
Ducks for Dementia was created on March 20, 2023, by
David, when he was 10 years old and in the 5th grade.

Hi, my name is David and I am the creator and founder of Ducks For Dementia.
When I was just 2 years old, my Dad was sadly diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's, and at the same time, my Grandma was under full care for Alzheimer's. I learned a lot about Dementia and helping others.I noticed that my Dad and Grandma enjoyed my toy ducks and made them smile and bring joy.
So, I realized that my toy ducks could bring a little happiness to others with Dementia, and that's how I came up with the idea.
I created Ducks for Dementia to honor my Dad and Grandma by donating toy ducks to Memory Care Homes throughout the county, raising awareness for Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia, and raising money for Alzheimer's research and support. Making smiles one duck at a time. -David
Thank you to our volunteers and our employees.
It all started with me and Mom!
I wanted to do something to honor my Dad and Grandma, who both live with Alzheimer's for more than ten years. So, we set up a simple website and sent boxes of toy ducks to Memory Care Homes.
We became an official 501(c)3 Non-Profit Charity by the 3rd month!
Can you imagine?
Ducks For Dementia now has a team of people working every day to help our mission and support our cause.
It takes a lot of work each week to ensure we do our part to spread happiness, raise awareness about dementia and raise money for research.
Together, we can all make a difference.
